Windsurfing: West Mersea Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: 15-20knts Surf / Sea State: lumpy Air Temperature: warm Sea Temperature: getting cooler Weather: cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Good session, wind up and down, but the 4.7m was a good pick and well
powered up until the tide turned.
Mostly kitesurfers by the windsurf hut, and mostly JP $ailors at the car
park to the west of that. That car park seemed to cost £2.50 which is
absurd as the car park behind the Mersea windsurfers hut is free. So I
left my pride behind and launched with that funny breed who wear their
board shorts outside their wetsuits.
Loads of people out, had a weekend feel to it. As it was near high tide
could sail right up to beach with no restrictions. Sea was a little lumpy
with wind against tide, but smoothed out nicely at high tide. Could have
then done with the 5.5m, but thought I'd save myself for tomorrow.
